One million pesos is awfully a lot but it can be very practical depending on your inventiveness. You can look  at elements like the size of the house, the construction process, the materials, and the price of labor. In Chiang Mai, Thailand, professionals from ANUCHA ARCHITECTS OFFICE came up with this one-storey home that showcases Thai-style architecture with a modern twist. Check out its construction process which spanned about five months.

Three-dimensional dream

In this three-dimensional depiction of the house, the Thai inspiration is notable in the roof and column designs. The contemporary flair complements the look through the long windows, and wainscoting of the exterior surface.

Foundation layout

With the above design in mind, the experts began construction on September 13, 2008 by digging holes on the ground for the foundation of the structure. This contributes to the structural integrity of the home.

Structuring the framework

By September 30, 2008, the builders started forming the framework with the use of reinforced concrete and wood. This procedure required special accuracy especially in terms of steel binding, steel plating, and concrete pouring.

Steel roofing

Setting reinforced concrete takes time and this careful process is crucial for the strength of the house. On November 5, 2008, the builders worked on the roof which used steel framing. Once the roof frame was set, they also meticulously worked on preventing rust build-up to it.

Lightweight brick wall

In building the walls, lightweight brick was used which is a bit more expensive than regular bricks. However, the latter takes faster to build because of its larger sheet. This saves you on labor costs.  Other than that, lightweight brick is provides good insulation thereby cooling the interior of the house.

Sealing the brick wall

Once the bricks have been installed, the next step is to coat the wall with plaster which would also be layered with lightweight concrete.

Building the other parts

The following year, on February 20, 2009, the experts worked on installing doors, windows, ceilings, and the electrical system. For the ceiling, installing fiberglass insulation prevents heat from coming into the house.
